This print is from my 2018 show, Ho’olaule’a: a celebration, highlighting and bringing awareness to endangered species. ‘Keystone’ is about the successful rehabilitation of the grey wolf in Yellowstone National Park.
A keystone species is an organism that helps define an entire ecosystem and without it, the ecosystem would be dramatically different or cease to exist altogether. In Yellowstone, the grey wolf directly supports other apex predators. Wolf packs hunt elk and leave part of the animal for others to scavenge. Bald and Golden eagles, Ravens and Magpies are raptors that benefit from the wolves kill. Their feathers adorn the head of the wolf. Black and Grizzly bears also scavenge the meat and are represented by their claws in the wolf's necklace.
20"x16" with a printed area of 18"x14", this print fits great in standard frames. High density, archival inks are used on heavy weight, all-cotton, hot pressed paper, creating a very long lasting, fade resistant print.
Signed and numbered limited edition of 10. The prints will be shipped in a sturdy shipping tube, packaged and protected with acid free materials. I'll also include some tips on best practices for caring for giclée prints.
Thank you so much for your support. I hope you enjoy!
